Mappillai Samba Rice

Mapillai Samba, also known as "Bride Groom Rice," is a red native rice type that is mostly grown in Tamil Nadu. It is robust and requires little to no pesticides or fertilisers, making it a good choice for organic farming. A 160-day crop is involved. Mapillai samba has sadly almost entirely vanished from our farms and markets, along with other traditional varieties of rice, to be replaced with highly processed, nutritionally inferior white rice. These days, very few ardent traditional farmers still cultivate this rice. This rice is a product of Tamil Nadu's Thiruvannamalai.

Even though it is called "Bride Groom's Rice," this rice is intended for anyone who wishes to gain healthy vitality and strength. These are the advantages:

  • The rice's high fibre content makes digestion easier.
  • The presence of vitamin B1 in rice helps to treat mouth and stomach ulcers.
  • enhances resistance and endurance
  • strengthens the nerves and muscles
  • increases blood flow so that our body can receive energy right away.
  • increases the amount of haemoglobin
  • Low Glycemic Index makes it suitable for diabetics.
  • Little ones will grow more quickly.
